Hit-and-Run Leaves Woman Dead in the Valley

28-year-old Judy Ramos was struck and killed by a hit-and- run driver as she was attempting to cross the street. The devastating car accident happened around midnight Sunday evening on Vaughn, a side street near Glenoaks Boulevard. Police were able to get a vague description of a vehicle that was described as a 4-door white automobile, but details are sketchy at present.

Ramos was taken to a local area hospital where she died the following day from her injuries.  Investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Once the hit-and-run driver is apprehended, they will have many questions to answer, the most prevalent being why they fled the scene in the first place. With the aid of forensic science and witness accounts, the prospect of locating the woman’s killer are better than  they would have been in the past. Afterwards, the guilty party could face criminal and civil charges, since the Ramos family will have the ability to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
