Mohssine Chihani, 58, received serious injuries in a hit and run accident in Houston on January 27, 2020 after climbing onto the hood of the vehicle to stop it from fleeing.

An Uber Eats driver, Mohssine Chihani was picking up an order at a food truck at 2718 Scott Street. Then, saw a dark gray Nissan back into his car.

The other driver argued with him before getting back into his vehicle. Chihani took out his cell phone and tried to take a photo of the Nissan’s license plate, but the car pulled away.

As the Nissan tried to flee, Chihani climbed onto the hood of the car. The driver kept driving down Scott Street with the man clinging to the hood. A surveillance camera at a nearby convenience store captured the incident.

Chihani fell off the car after it had gone about a block. Houston Fire Department paramedics found him in the street. He had suffered major head injuries from the fall. Paramedics transported him to the hospital, where he is in critical condition.

Police are searching for the Nissan driver who fled the scene.

Uber said they are working with investigators and have tried to reach out check on Chihani.
