An August 16th plane crash occurred just north of the Hesperia Airport at 11:20 a.m. this morning, killing the two passengers, a man and woman, who were on board. The small plane, which was a Cessna 152, took off from the Redlands but crashed shortly after. The plane was destroyed but did not burn. Authorities are looking into the cause of the wreck which is not currently known. Names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Planes, just like automobiles, have to be expertly built to prevent malfunction. This is largely due to the fact that such crafts, when they fail to work properly, can cause devastating injury and harm to passengers. In most cases, death can ensue. While the cause of the above crash is still in question, one cannot rule out the possibility that it occurred due to defective airplane parts. If an investigation finds this to be the case, family members can sue the airplane manufacturer for wrongful death under product liability laws.
