A collision with a semi truck early Wednesday morning claimed the life of Elmhurst resident, 40 year old Radoslaw Kosikowski.

At about 2:30 am, Kosikowski’s car collided with a semi traveling on the Stevenson Expressway, near Hodgkins. The driver of the truck was not injured, however responders pronounced Kosikowski dead at the scene. The crash tied up traffic on the expressway until 6:30 am.

The cause of the crash has not been determined, and there is no word on whether or not alcohol was a factor.
