Authorities disclosed the deceased’s identity on Saturday, March 28, as Ledesma Quintero, a 48-year-old resident of Fontana.

The incident took place on Monday, March 23, just north of Karen Lane. The county’s sheriff’s office disclosed that officers were dispatched to Sierra Avenue following a distress call reporting a traffic collision involving two motorists at about 6:52 am.

Responding officers discovered two severely injured male drivers lying unconscious in their respective cars. Preliminary investigations determined that the two vehicles involved were traveling through the roadway when they collided head-on.
