Andrew Arbuckle Pleads not Guilty for Laguna Hills Fatal Hit-and-Run Charge

The 34-year-old male from Mission Viejo involved in a suspected hit-and-run run accident in Laguna Hills, California, would need a top accident lawyer’s expertise. Andrew Austin Arbuckle pleaded not guilty to the offense during an appearance in a Santa Ana court on Tuesday, July 21st.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, Jaimee Balshaw, said in a news briefing that they remanded the defendant on a $200,000 bail bond before arraigning him on a charge of felony hit-and-run resulting in death. He is also facing a misdemeanor count of driving with a license suspended or revoked for DUI.

The spokeswoman said they arrested Arbuckle around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18th, after connecting him with a collision that caused the death of a 22-year-old man from Blashaw. The crash report alleged that on Thursday, July 16th, at about 9:15 p.m., the man struck Fabio R. Castro with a pickup truck.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Hills Hotel at 25205 La Paz Road. Arbuckle then fled the scene before the first responders arrived. Medics with the Orange County Fire Authority stabilized the victim at the scene and transported him to a hospital where he later died.

The defendant would appear in court again on Wednesday, July 29th, for his pretrial hearing at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach. If found guilty, the man would face time in state prison and pay a fine. There is no additional information.
