Lasonia Tumbling Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Los Angeles

Lasonia Tumbling

Two casualties were recorded in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, after an alleged DUI motorist crashed into two vehicles. The fatal occurrence took place on Sunday afternoon, April 19, and the involved parties may be required to involve auto accident attorneys to guarantee maximum compensation for damages.

The crash occurred in the 200 block of West Century Boulevard at about 3:45 am, as reported by Sgt. Phillip Ibarra of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division.

Investigators determined that a vehicle was traveling northbound on Olive Street when it ran a red light at Century Boulevard for unknown reasons. As a result, the female motorist crashed into two approach vehicles crossing the road interchange at the time.

The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to spin off the highway until it crashed into a traffic light, ejecting its driver in the process.

Emergency responders pronounced the ejected driver dead at the scene of the crash. Authorities later identified the victim as Lasonia Tumbling, a 54-year-old Los Angeles Resident.

The offending driver remained pinned in her wrecked vehicle until she was rescued by fire department personnel and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The nature of her injuries was not disclosed.

Officers believe the woman who caused Lasonia Tumbling’s death was under the influence of alcohol. She now faces charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

Auto accident attorneys are needed in such situations to ensure all the damages done to the car are taken care off by the insurance companies while ensuring the victims are adequately compensated.
