The identity of the man that died following a rollover on Eastbound University avenue in Menlo Park, California, has been revealed. The San Mateo Coroner’s Office disclosed the deceased’s identity on Thursday, April 23, as Miguel Torres, a 37-year-old man.

Early investigations into the crash, which occurred on Tuesday, suggested that the deceased was driving at a high speed and lost control of the vehicle. Following the loss of control, Torres’ car rolled over, causing him to be ejected from it.

Accident reports state that the police got to the scene of the crash immediately, within a minute of being called. They saw that the man was ejected from his car. The Menlo Fire Protection District pronounced Torres dead at the scene.

The accident caused a temporary closure of the Eastbound University avenue to traffic. The shutdown lasted for several hours before the road was reopened.

Investigations into the cause of the crash remain ongoing. The police are also seeking witnesses to the accident. These witnesses can call the Menlo Park Police Department on the number 650-330-6300.

Driving at high speeds is a dangerous thing and has caused so many accidents in the past. These accidents, when they occur, also lead to life-threatening injuries and death.

When a driver overspeeds, he is prone to losing control of his vehicle or veering off the road. Drivers must resist the urge to drive at high speeds but keep to the speed limit of the roads that they use.
