A car accident in North Hollywood took two lives and injured one, according to officials. Authorities say that a woman, driving a Toyota Scion, lost control near the intersection of Lankershim while traveling northbound on Vineyard. Evidence shows that the car accident probably involved the car hitting the utility pole and then a storefront. The female driver and male passenger both died on the scene, while a third victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. The condition of his injuries has not been reported.
Sgt Aaron Ponce of the North Hollywood station describes the female driver as being ejected from the vehicle and then dying, as did the other female passenger sitting in the front seat. The surviving male passenger was located in the backseat during the accident. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
