Hit and Run Accident Leaves NoHo Pedestrian Dead

A Monday morning hit-and-run accident in North Hollywood has left one man dead and traffic at a standstill for about six hours. Reported at around 2:15 a.m. by a passing motorist who saw the body lying on the side of the road, the incident may have been caused by the fact that there was no crosswalk where the victim was struck.

The lifeless male victim was located near the intersection of Vanowen Street and Satsuma Avenue near the curb.  The man, who was described as a Latino in his mid 20’d to early 30’s, was estimated to have been lying there for some time before discovery.  Paramedics were called but it was too late to render assistance.

There are numerous factors that could have contributed to the young man’s demise. Chief among them is the lack of a crosswalk.  Couple that with a careless, inattentive driver and we have a recipe for disaster. Surviving family members can look into several causes that could lead to a potential wrongful death lawsuit but they will need the assistance of a qualified personal injury lawyer to pursue it.  If you have lost a loved one due to the actions of a negligent motorist, contact our sponsoring lawyers today to obtain justice and receive financial compensation for your loss.
