Oxnard Police Arrest Alexis Sandoval and Daniella Arbizu Following Hit-and-Run Crash

Two people ended up in police custody on Monday night, September 14th, after a failed traffic stop in Oxnard, California, became a hit-and-run crash. The Oxnard Police Department revealed the names of the two as Alexis Sandoval, 26, of Port Hueneme, and Daniella Arbizu, 25, of Oxnard.

The two would need representation from auto accident attorneys. The police said that at about 7:50 p.m., an officer with the Special Enforcement Unit tried to stop a vehicle driven by Sandoval for a traffic violation, but he failed to yield.

The officer pursued the suspect and his passenger, Arbizu, but stopped after the driver showed a willful and wanton disregard for others’ safety. After crashing into the curb of Novato Drive, the police found the vehicle north of Wooley Road.

The suspects left the scene of the accident, and according to the OPD, they later reported injuries. Officers arrested Sandoval on suspicion of felony evading, hit-and-run causing damage, and a parole violation. They found him in the 1100-block of Novato Drive.

The police said that the man is on parole for assault with a deadly weapon. They arrested Arbizu on a felony warrant for child abuse and suspicion of multiple misdemeanor drug offenses after locating her in Novato’s 1000-block.

The charges against the two are severe and frowned at by the courts in California. If convicted, the suspects face time in prison and other punishments determined by the court.
