The expertise of a car injury lawyer would come in handy following a multi-vehicle crash that left one dead and another injured in Modesto, California. The incident played out on Wednesday evening, June 10.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to a location at Main Avenue and Carpenter Road on reports of a head-on collision in the area. The CHP records showed that the encounter involved at least three vehicles that collided at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the vehicles was a 2014 Buick traveling through the westbound lanes of Main Street. For reasons yet to be established, the Buick veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet. The vehicle then skidded forward and slammed into another oncoming car, a 2014 GMC with Patricia Verducci, 56, of Patterson, behind the wheels.
CHP officials said the Buick caught fire after the second collision and drove into the shoulder of West Main Street, where it eventually came to rest. The operator of the Buick did not survive the encounter, and emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. Verducci suffered serious injuries, and medics transported her to Memorial Medical Center by ground ambulance.
No information about the condition of the Chevrolet operator, Nicholas Stanley, 33, of Turlock, was immediately available. It is unknown if any other casualty resulted from the crash, which remains under investigation.
Anyone injured in a traffic wreck can file a personal injury lawsuit in court, to enable them to get maximum compensation for damages.
