35-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed In Riverside Crash


A motorcyclist was killed on Friday in a crash with an SUV near the intersection of Indiana Avenue and Washington Street in Riverside.

Mario Valladares, 35, of Riverside, had been riding his motorcycle westbound on Indiana Avenue around 9:35 a.m. when he collided with a Toyota Rav4 as it pulled out of a private parking lot in front of him.

When city firefighters arrived on the scene they found the motorcyclist had gone through the driver’s side window of the Rav4. Valladares was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:03 a.m., according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

Both the driver of the Rav4 and her passenger were hospitalized for treatment of their injuries. The female driver was treated for moderate injuries, and her male passenger was treated for minor injuries.
