Serena Budenes and Emily Villicano Survive Rollover Accident with Injuries

Two people suffered injuries in a solo rollover crash in the Red Bluff area of California on Tuesday afternoon, June 16th. The California Highway Patrol identified the two victims as Serena Budenes, 35, and Emily Villicano, 18.

The accident report disclosed that the traffic collision happened on Green Valley Drive at around 5:20 p.m. The CHP said that Budenes was behind the wheel of a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup with Villicano as her passenger. The vehicle went off the road and struck an embankment.

The impact caused the Dodge to roll over multiple times in the area near Highway 36W. The women sustained severe wounds, and the first responders transported them to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for treatment. It is currently unclear if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident, and the investigation is ongoing.

Traffic accidents claim lives daily in California and the United States. Most car crashes are avoidable if drivers follow traffic rules and regulations and safety tips released from time to time by state and national traffic authorities.

Safety tips include wearing a seat belt when in transit, obeying all speed limits and signs, paying attention while on the road, and never drinking and driving. Before driving a car, carry out a simple safety check by turning on lights and ensuring they are in working order, and checking to see that the blinkers are functional and there’s no fluid leakage or deflated tire.
