Shane Walker Identified as Fatal Victim of Motorcycle Crash in Rancho Bernardo

The expertise of a motorcycle accident attorney may be required following a vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash that claimed a man’s life in Rancho Bernardo, California. Authorities on Tuesday, May 5, disclosed the deceased’s identity as 18-year-old Shane Walker.

The deadly crash took place on Thursday, April 30, on Pomerado Road, near Rancho Bernardo Road, at about 4:45 pm. Investigators determined that the fatal victim was traveling northbound on the roadway in a 2009 Triumph Daytona 675 motorcycle.

At the same time, a Chrysler PT Cruiser was heading south on the same route. Just as the Cruiser attempted a left turn onto Caminito Vecinos, it collided with the motorbike. The motorcycle rider suffered severe injuries in the traffic collision and was transported to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Authorities confirmed that Walker eventually succumbed to his fatal injuries at the hospital on Saturday, May 2. The reports obtained from the California Highway Patrol did not ascertain the condition of the motorist, whose name remains undisclosed.

Officers did not disclose whether either of the victims was suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. The cause of the tragic wreck is under investigation by the San Diego Police Department’s traffic division.

A motorcycle accident attorney can help victims of motorbike accidents, or their families, secure maximum compensation for damages suffered.
