Solo Vehicle Crash in Banning Ends the Life of Adriana Adrias

A woman died earlier this week in Banning, California, after her vehicle overturned and skidded down a large embankment. Police recorded the incident on Tuesday afternoon, May 19, the accident reports confirmed.

The Banning Police Department deployed officers to the scene of the traffic wreck, following reports of a single-vehicle rollover crash. It happened on the 1000 block of North Sunset Avenue, half a mile north of West Wilson Street, and left one person fatally injured.

Preliminary reports showed the woman through North Sunset Ave. When suddenly, the vehicle lost control and overturned. The car then skidded down a steep embankment before eventually coming to rest, ejecting the motorist in the process. First responders pronounced the female driver deceased at the scene, authorities said.

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner Bureau identified the fatal victim as Adriana Adrias, a 38 year old Banning local. The accident reports failed to ascertain whether impairment by drugs or alcohol may have contributed to the tragic accident. No other detail regarding the crash or additional injuries is available at this time.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Investigators would try to determine what caused Adrias’ vehicle to crash.

Possible causes include intoxication, overspeeding, distracted driving, mechanical faults, or a potential road hazard. Detectives would look into all these factors while investigating.

Police urged possible witnesses with helpful information that could facilitate the investigative process to contact the department on their available lines.
