In a tragic Monday morning crash, Vanessa Segarra, 28, or Van Nuys was identified as the fatal victim of a crash on the 710 freeway in South Gate.
Four others were injured in the crash. Segarra was driving in a Honda Accord when her car collided with a larger Dodge Nitro SUV. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, while the others who were injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
