A female motorist and her passengers were involved in a tragic accident in Santa Rosa, California, that left them hospitalized with unspecified injuries. The incident took place on Thursday, April 14, leaving the victims with legal claims to pursue a personal injury lawsuit under the guidance of a car injury lawyer.

The crash was reported at about 9:45 am, according to the California Highway Patrol reports, and resulted from a collision between two moving vehicles on River Road.

Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the vehicles was a Goodwill box truck traveling through River Road. The truck drifted left into the middle lane to create a passage for a passing car that was entering the road’s on-ramp to Highway 101, thereby venturing into the path of a Ford Expedition.

The driver of the Ford, identified as Sandra Garcia Flores, saw the truck just in time to swerve left into the west lanes to avoid hitting it.

However, the sudden maneuver caused the woman to lose control of her SUV, which eventually collided with the truck. As a result, the two vehicles skidded off the road through the left shoulder, with the Ford flipping over and coming to rest on its roof.

Police said traveling alongside Garcia in the SUV were five juveniles, and all the occupants were injured in the wreckage. No fatality was recorded.

Medics transported Garcia to Sutter Hospital for treatment. Two of the children were also taken to hospitals within the area. A 10-year-old girl involved in the crash was flown to Oakland Children’s hospital with major injuries, while two other juvenile victims were taken by air ambulance to UC Davis Medical center.

The driver of the truck also suffered injuries and was hospitalized.
