A crash between two vehicles in Bossier City, Los Angeles, California resulted in the death of a 73-year-old female.
The Bossier City Police Department has identified the victim of the two-vehicle accident which occurred on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway on Saturday, February 29, as Peggy Wise.
According to a police release, the City’s officers showed up at the scene of the incident in response to an emergency call regarding a fatality crash at about 1:30 pm. The accident took place at the intersection of Shady Grove Drive.
The victim was driving a red passenger car, and met her fate just as she attempted crossing the northbound lane of the Teague parkway from Shady Grove Drive, heading south.
An oncoming vehicle, reported as a black minivan, moving north on the parkway ran into the passenger car, leaving the white female occupant in a dire state after being pulled out of the wrecked vehicle.
Upon responding at the crash-site, the city’s police facilitated the transport of the elderly woman to Shreveport’s Ochsner LSU Health Centre, Bossier, LA, where her death was confirmed by medical personnel. Her demise resulted from multiple injuries sustained in the fatal crash.
The Bossier City Police Accident Investigation team, tasked with investigating traffic-related incidents in the Los Angeles city, has since taken up the investigative proceedings.
The accident scene was declared closed to the public following the accident to enhance the effective collection of the necessary information for the investigation. It was reopened at about 4:45 pm on the same day.
