A woman lost her life in a train accident that occurred near Ventura in the Ventura County. The incident took place on Monday, August 24. The identity of the deceased was released by the Ventura County Medical Examiner the next day. The victim was identified as Isabella Kress, 22, of Ventura. Kress had graduated from the Ventura High School in 2016 and had been a promising athlete during her years at the school.
According to the details shared by the authorities, the fatal incident took place on Monday afternoon and was reported just after 1 p.m. Kress was at the Emma Wood State Beach, at some distance from the Ventura River Group Camp, when she was hit by the train.
Preliminary investigations show that she was taking pictures of the beach while on the train track. She also had headphones on at the time which prevented her from listening to the sound of the train coming.
The train collision caused Kress to suffer critical injuries. Once the first responders and paramedics arrived on the scene, she was pronounced dead.
