Tragic news came out of the South Side Roseland neighborhood last night when 21-year-old Jeffrey Jones was involved in a fatal accident while riding his motorcycle. The collision between Jones’ motorcycle and another vehicle occurred at 10:24 p.m. at the 111000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. The identity of the driver of other vehicle has yet to be released.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has reported that Jones was pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle accident at 2:46 a.m. this morning. The Major Accident Investigation Unit is carrying out the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
