Motor vehicle accidents involving big vehicles like a semi-truck or big rigs often end fatally for those involved, especially drivers of smaller vehicles. Thus, drivers must put safety first and follow safety procedures released by law enforcement and traffic regulatory agencies from time to time.
Semi-truck or big rig drivers must wear a seatbelt at all times, and ensure that they do not call, text, or look away from the road when driving. Be aware of the speed limits, maintain it, avoid ingesting drugs or alcoholic drinks, and keep in mind the truck’s height and weight by ensuring there is a safe space cushion on all sides of the vehicle. Additionally, slow down for curves, and maintain a proper stopping distance.
