Reports from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office stated that the victim was riding his motorcycle west on 1350th Avenue, which is west of Country Club Road. He was moving at high speed and lost control of the vehicle.
This caused him to veer off the roadway before coming to rest in a ditch. Medics transported Durre to Carle Foundation Hospital for treatment of the severe injuries he suffered.
