Truck Rollover Crash Kills Driver Dustin J. Graf in Ford County

A truck driver lost his life in a rollover crash that occurred in the Ford County on the evening of Wednesday, September 2. The deceased was identified by the authorities as Dustin J. Graf, 30, of Watseka as per the recent accident reports.

According to the details shared by the Illinois State Police, the single-vehicle accident took place just south of the village of Roberts. Graf was traveling in his pickup truck along the southbound lanes of the State Route 115 at the time.

Near 1250 North, Graf’s vehicle veered away from the southbound lanes into the northbound lane. He then overcorrected the pickup truck which caused the vehicle to lose balance. The truck then rolled over and came to rest beyond the roadway.

The incident was reported to the authorities at around 6:05 p.m. As the first responders reached the scene to lend help to the victim, they found that the truck had rolled away into a cornfield east of the roadway.

Dustin J. Graf was the only occupant of the truck at the time. He was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over and sustained critical injuries. It isn’t clear whether he was wearing a seatbelt at the time. Once the Ford County Coroner and other law enforcement personnel arrived on the scene of the accident, Graf was pronounced deceased.

ISP continues to investigate the incident. Authorities are trying to ascertain if alcohol or speeding were the factors that contributed to the crash. Final accident reports may reveal a definite cause of accident.
