In a mobile home fire incident that resulted in the death of one person, the autopsy results have now ascertained the cause of death. According to the details of autopsy shared by Michigan State Police troopers, the cause has been determined as smoke inhalation. However, accident reports so far have not been able to determine the cause of fire.
The fire took place back in Friday, November 29, 2019. Around midnight, local authorities were notified of a fire accident that was raging at a mobile home in the Ensley Township of Newaygo County, Michigan. A number of local departments and state agencies responded to the incident and reached the site of fire at the 128th Street in township. These included Grand Fire Department, Sand Lake Fire Department and the Michigan State Police.
One person died in the tragic incident. The victim was later identified using fingerprint identification technology as Rodolfo Quesada, 59. Quesada was the only occupant of the home when it caught fire. Firefighters from the local departments took some time to battle and extinguish the fire. Once the fire was put out, Quesada’s body was recovered from the home.
Although the cause of Quesada’s death was linked to the house fire, authorities still awaited the autopsy results to pronounce a definite cause. The autopsy results were recently returned and MSP troopers revealed that smoke inhalation was determined as the cause of death.
The cause of fire could not be determined at the time of incident and remains undetermined still. However, foul play was largely ruled out by the investigation authorities and the incident was treated as an accident. It is likely that with the autopsy results, investigation into the incident will close and no more accident reports will be forthcoming.
