Olivia Ancil Severely Injured Following Holland Vehicle-Pedestrian Crash

A nurse left severely injured after a vehicle ran her over near a hospital in Holland, Michigan, would require the services of a top accident lawyer. The tragic incident played out on Thursday evening, May 28.

Holland authorities reported that at about 5:45 p.m. on the said day, the medical practitioner and a male pedestrian got hit by a moving vehicle. Police said it occurred at Michigan Avenue and West 24th Street, near Holland Hospital. At least one of the victims suffered incapacitating injuries.

Holland Hospital officials later identified the female victim as Olivia Ancil, a 22-year-old nurse who works at the health facility. The reports described the second victim as a 26-year-old man.

Investigators gathered that both victims were standing on a sidewalk near the hospital when a 2003 Honda Civic jumped the curb and hit them. Before the encounter, witnesses said the Honda was northbound on Michigan in the far-right-lane. The motorist reportedly swerved right to avoid a collision with an eastbound pickup attempting a sudden left turn in front of him, causing him to hit the pedestrians.

The two people struck ended up critically injured and received transportation to the hospital. While the nature of the man’s injury remains undisclosed, a relative revealed that Ancil suffered multiple skull fractures, a shattered leg bone, and a fractured spine.

Although authorities did not state whether the responsible parties would face charges in connection with the mishap, the injured victims should contact a top accident lawyer as soon as possible.
