Keith Preston Dies after Crash in Gladwin County

A 47-year-old man identified as Keith Preston has died following a crash at Gladwin County, Michigan, on Sunday, May 3. According to accident reports, an unidentified 18-year-old was also injured in the crash.

Troopers from the West Branch of the Michigan State Police responded to calls from eyewitnesses about a personal injury crash at about 6:15 p.m. on May 3. The crash happened at the intersection of Wildwood and School roads in Clement Township.

Investigations revealed that an 18-year-old was driving a 2004 model Chevrolet Silverado, and heading south on Wildwood Road toward School Road. Another vehicle, a 2007 Dodge Charger, driven by the deceased, was headed east on School road, before stopping at the intersection.

The Dodge Charger headed for the intersection, where it collided with the Chevrolet Silverado. Both cars suffered heavy damages as a result of the collision. However, Keith Preston suffered extensive trauma. Responding officers and medics attended to him, but their efforts were futile. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Silverado, who remains unidentified, suffered minor injuries. Medics took him to a local hospital where he received treatment for his wounds. Investigations remain ongoing to ascertain the cause of the crash.

Accident reports also revealed that officers from the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Department, Clement Township Fire Department, and the Michigan State Police 3rdDistrict Traffic Reconstruction Unit also aided the troopers at the scene of the crash.
