The Clark County coroner’s office says 33-year-old Edson Beltran-Aviles died in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday night. As noted in accident reports, the collision happened in North Las Vegas.

A spokesman for the city said Beltran-Aviles was heading south on Simmons Street at Citizen Avenue in a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado shortly after 7:30 p.m.

His pickup went off the road for reasons that are not yet clear, and it hit two light poles and a bus shelter.

Beltran-Aviles died at on the spot.

The official cause and manner of his death have not yet been revealed. Police will continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
