Medical examiners identified the man who died after crashing his vehicle into a fire hydrant and fence in Sparks, Nevada, on February 7. This was 56-year-old Michael Brynes. He was not the only victim, albeit the only one who lost his life. One other person was involved in the crash. He is receiving medical attention.
The accident happened at about 9.30 a.m. on Rock Blvd. The boulevard in Sparks is partially closed after the crash.
News 4 and Fox 11 report that Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 56-year-old Michael Brynes as the driver of the vehicle. When they arrived on the scene, authorities found that his truck had hit a fire hydrant and fence. As a result, water was flowing freely everywhere in the area.
Since then, the hydrant has been capped. The street and nearby parking lots are still flooded. Authorities are working on eradicating the damage.
Mr. Brynes got medical treatment on the scene. Later, he was transported to the nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries later on February 7. Coroners have not reported the exact cause of death yet. They are working on determining it. This story is in development.
