The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the man killed in a solo car crash in the Henderson area of Nevada. The coroner on Wednesday, August 12th, said Sanchez Reavis, 33, died from blunt force injuries and ruled his death an accident.
The car accident report released by the Henderson Police Department revealed that speed played a role in the accident. The investigators said that the occurrence involved a white 2019 Isuzu NPR flatbed truck.
At about 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11th, in the area of Eastgate and Warm Springs Roads, Reavis traveled northbound and went off the roadway north of Auto Show Drive. The man died at the scene, and the medics pronounced him.
The police said that it is unclear if impairment also contributed to the accident. The investigators closed both the northbound and southbound lanes of Eastgate, between Auto and Commercial Way, for about four hours.
The crash is the fourth accident-related death in the Henderson jurisdiction for 2020. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the HPD on the listed line or call Crime Stoppers if they wish to remain anonymous.
Traffic accidents of this nature occur for otherwise avoidable reasons, speed being one of them. Law enforcement and traffic agencies advise motorists always to maintain the speed limit of the roadway they are traveling on.
Speeding prevents a driver from applying the brakes on time to avoid a collision. As speed increases, the more the braking distance, and combined with the weight of the vehicle, the more difficult to stop.
