Abdullah Alghurabi

The San Antonio Police Department, on Thursday, February 20th, identified the man who died in a rollover accident at the North West side of San Antonio, Texas. He is 21-year-old, Abdullah Alghurabi.

Alghurabi died on the scene of the accident from injuries sustained from the crash. The coroner ruled his death as accidental, and so far, there’s no toxicology report.

The deceased was involved in a single-vehicle crash on the night of Tuesday, February 18th. At about 11 p.m., he crashed the black Mustang he was driving on the eastbound lane on Camp Bullis Road.

Alghurabi was driving way over the speed limit and couldn’t make a turn on the road. The car went airborne, hit some trees, and rolled straight into the parking lot of Lutheran High School.

It collided with an unoccupied sport utility vehicle in the parking lot. The crash got the attention of students attending a school event, and they acted as first responders.

The students banded together to help Alghurabi and succeeded in getting him out of the car. The paramedics took over when they arrived and tried to mitigate the wound of the deceased.

Their efforts could do nothing for the then-injured man, and he passed away before they could take him to the hospital. There was no other victim or car involved in the accident, and the authorities have not stated whether or not Alghurabi was impaired.

The speed limit for school zones in Texas is 15 miles per hour, and not more than 25 miles. Authorities have advised drivers to maintain the specification to prevent accidents and preserve lives.
