Arlington Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Carlos Rosario Florentino

A driver died on Saturday night after he was ejected from his vehicle in a single-car crash in Arlington, Texas police accident reports state.

The victim has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 34-year-old Carlos Rosario Florentino.

The crash took place in the 400 block of North Watson Road.

Florentino was taken to hospital after the accident, but he died from his injuries.

Officers from the Arlington Police Department responded to scene at around 10:33 p.m.

Investigators said Florentino was the sole occupant of the vehicle and he was heading north along North Watson Road. As the road curved, he lost control of his vehicle for some reason, left the roadway, and hit a utility pole.

This was the second fatality in Arlington in as many days.

On Friday afternoon, the Arlington Police Department responded to a serious crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle. It occurred in the 1900 block of S. Cooper Street.

Investigators believe the motorcyclist was speeding as he headed northbound on Cooper St. He collided with a white Ford F-250 that was making a left turn onto Inwood Drive from the southbound lanes of Cooper St. 

The 18-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck, was not injured. That individual was the only occupant of the vehicle.
 

A business in the area captured the crash on surveillance video and police are using this to assist with their investigations.


The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s name at a later date. Updated accident reports should be forthcoming.
