Demi Millien Arrested After Crash That Injured Pedestrian

A woman has been arrested and charged with intoxication assault following a crash that occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.

She is 29-year-old Demi Millien, Texas accident reports state.

The accident caused an unnamed male pedestrian’s arm to be severed.

Court documents indicate that the crash occurred in the 7300 block of the East U.S. Highway 290 westbound service road.

Millien was reportedly going west in her vehicle when the vehicle veered off the roadway and hit a guardrail that then hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk.

The pedestrian’s right arm was severed above the elbow and he also received an injury to the head.

Austin police said Millien admitted that she was driving and she hit the individual.

The officer who saw Millien said he used several factors including field sobriety tests to form the opinion that she was intoxicated.

If the name of the pedestrian is made public, it will be provided in subsequent accident reports.
