Jedidiah Ephraim Brown Emerges Fatal Victim of Austin Traffic Collision

A car accident lawyer may be needed after a woman was killed by a passing vehicle while inspecting her damaged car on U.S 183 in Austin, Texas. The deadly collision was reported on Tuesday, April 28, and no charges have been filed to date.

Officers responded to the crash site shortly after 12:20 pm, following an emergency call of a woman struck by another vehicle north of U.S. 290.

Investigating officers determined that the fatal victim was the driver and only occupant of a Nissan Altima that broke down while in transit on the south lanes of travel on U.S 183.

Before the motorist could clear off the roadway to the emergency lanes, a southbound box truck approached and collided with her vehicle from the rear.

When the Austin Police Department officers arrived at the scene of the collision, they found the two wrecked vehicles in place, with the victim critically injured.

Emergency responders transported the injured woman to an area hospital where, sadly, she succumbed to her injuries hours later. Hospital personnel pronounced her dead at precisely 1:12 pm.

Authorities disclosed the deceased motorist’s identity as Jedidiah Ephraim Brown, 40. The name of the other motorist was not disclosed.

Police confirmed that it was unlikely that the box truck operator that struck Brown would be charged with any traffic offense.

Witnesses with helpful information regarding the crash were asked to contact the Austin Police Department Vehicular Homicide Unit.

Victims of car accidents can consult a car accident lawyer for representation.
