Jeremiah and Joshua Kent Identified as Minors Who Died in Interstate 30 Accident

On Wednesday, May 27th, the authorities in Sulphur Springs identified the minors who passed away in a fatal car crash on Interstate 30, Texas. They revealed their names as Jeremiah Kent, 9, and Joshua Kent, 7, both of Shaw, Mississippi.

The police said the siblings passed away in the tragic accident that occurred Sunday, May 24th. Jeremiah and Joshua were passengers in a vehicle that an 18-wheeler rear-ended. The authorities reported that the crash took place at about 5 a.m. near the eastbound exit of Broadway Street.

The crash report showed that the bigger vehicle was traveling eastbound along 1-30 when it crashed into the back of an SUV for reasons that remain unknown. The impact caused the smaller car to catch fire, with the brothers inside.

The police did not disclose what happened to the driver or if the individual driving the 18-wheeler sustained any wound. There is also no record of a citation or charges in the report, and the investigation is ongoing.

The investigators hope to release more information next week and have asked anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Sulphur Springs Police Department on the listed line.

Rear-end collisions are one of the common types of motor vehicle crashes, as seen in accident reports. Others are single-vehicle crashes, head-on collisions, two-vehicle crashes, multiple-vehicle, and broad-sided collisions.

Traffic authorities advise drivers to avoid situations that lead to any of the preceding. Motorists should practice safe road habits and obey the rules of the road always.
