Officers responded to the incident at about 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, following reports of a motorcycle that crashed into a tree on FM 369. The reports said it occurred half a mile south of Burkburnett and left at least one person fatally injured.
The initial reports released by the DPS suggested that Tyler Ramsey was travelling through the south traffic lanes on FM 369. He was riding a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when for unknown reasons, he veered out of the roadway and into the west barrow ditch.
Texas DPS Sgt. Dan Buesing reported that Ramsey went through a fence, slammed into a tree on his path before the motorbike eventually crashed to the ground. The victim got expelled from the motorcycle in the process.
When the emergency response team arrived, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive. Justice of Peace Robert Woodruff pronounced him dead at the scene. Deputies have not made further details concerning the fatal motorcycle crash available at this time.
