Last week, in a tragic incident, Ghorbanali Norouzian, a pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle and later was pronounced dead at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana. According to the Coroner’s press release, Norouzian was 71-years-old at the time of the crash.
WHERE THE CRASH TOOK PLACE
The crash took place on San Joaquin Hills Road, east of MacArthur Blvd., in Newport Beach. This is typically a very busy intersection near Fashion Island. The crash occurred at 7:40pm on Tuesday November 27, 2012.
WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS FATAL CRASH
Newport Beach Police Department is currently investigating the causes of this crash and have not yet released a statement. The collision report will take several weeks to complete. There have been no definitive reports as to what the cause of this tragic crash was. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and spoke with police and investigators.
