At least two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 50 in Clinton County, Illinois on Saturday.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m, on the stretch of Route 50 between Trenton and Aviston. The cause of the accident is still unclear, although ice on the road may have played a role. One person was reported to be unconscious following the crash, while at least one of the vehicles left the highway and overturned.
The two dead have been identified as Randy Pulver, 62, of Beckemeyer, Illinois, and Marissa Flanagan, 19, of Vernon, Illinois. The two were in separate vehicles, but Flanagan is believed to have been the driver of her vehicle.
At least one other person has been hospitalized as a result of the accident, although their name and condition have not been released.
