Rollover Crash Injures 3 in Costa Mesa

Craig L. Boone

A rollover crash right took place directly in front of the Costa Mesa Department of Motor Vehicles on January 6, 2020. Three individuals are injured, and one is in serious condition.

A Newport Beach fire captain reported that the SUV collided with a pickup truck and compact car. The accident took place just after 12:30 p.m Monday at 19th Street and Meyer Place.

The SUV flipped and trapped the driver inside the wreckage. Costa Mesa firefighters extricated him and rushed him to a nearby trauma center.

Paramedics transported another victim, but that person’s injuries have not been reported. There are reports of an empty pink car seat and stuffed animals at the scene. We do not know whether a child was injured at this time.

We don’t know if alcohol or drugs were involved in this rollover crash, but will post more details about this accident as they come.
