Some of the most dangerous accidents involve motorcycles. A motorcycle rider simply can’t withstand the impact of a car or SUV. There’s nothing standing in between the rider and the road other than a plastic helmet. And, because they’re harder to see, motorcycles are often the victims of dangerous motor vehicle crashes.
No matter how the crash happens, however, you expect the other driver to stick around and wait for the police. At least check to see if the other people involved are okay. In this case, that didn’t happen.
26-year old Ricardo Sepulveda was parked at a red light at the Gulf Bank off of Gulf Freeway in North Houston. It was about 9:05 pm on Friday night. Another driver, in a Nissan Cube, was parked at the red light along with Sepulveda.
All of a sudden, an SUV came speeding along and crashed into both Sepulveda and the Nissan Cube. Immediately after the crash, the SUV sped off and did not return. The police have no idea who was driving the SUV. However, they are still investigating the matter and are hoping maybe they can find surveillance cameras.
Sepulveda’s mother, Linda Morgan, is begging whoever is responsible to do the right thing and come forward. The local authorities are also asking anyone with information regarding the accident to call them and help find the culprit.
The name of the person driving the Nissan Cube has not yet been released. The police have also not released an update on the medical condition of the person driving the Nissan.
