Authorities said a woman was killed and two people were seriously injured in a rollover crash Wednesday night near Grafton.
Allison A. Watson, 22, of Bethalto, was killed in the crash, Illinois State Police said in a statement to local media outlets. Alexander D. Radcliff, 18, of Bethalto, and Tristan Z. Terpening, 20, of Godfrey, were seriously injured in the crash and reportedly were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
According to police, all three were traveling in a vehicle heading westbound on Illinois 100 just after 11 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then left the roadway, struck a river bluff and rolled multiple times.
Watson, Radcliff and Terpening all were ejected from the vehicle, authorities said. All three were airlifted for emergency treatment at area hospitals.
It’s unclear who was driving the vehicle at the time. Additional details about the crash, including factors that led to the incident, weren’t released by authorities Thursday.
The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit and the state police investigations unit.
