In a truck accident that took place on the Interstate 70 on Wednesday, April 8, one man sustained injuries. The man, who was the driver of the truck involved in the incident, was identified as Larry B. Brumley, 48, of Georgetown, Kentucky as per preliminary accident reports.
According to the details shared by the Illinois State Police, the incident came about due to exceptionally severe winds caused by a thunderstorm on Wednesday night. The severe winds also caused a number of other rollover crashes the same night on I-70 in Clark County, Illinois.
Larry B. Brumley was driving a 2019 International box truck at the time the incident occurred. He was in the westbound lanes of I-70 when strong gusts of cross wind caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The severe winds forced the truck to veer across the roadway. The truck then overturned and came to rest in the median.
Brumley was the only occupant at the time and the incident involved no other vehicle. He sustained minor injuries in the crash, as per the reports from ISP. Once the first responders and law enforcement arrived on the scene of the crash, Brumley was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The exceptionally strong gusts of wind caused several heavy vehicles to lose balance and overturn, leading to the injuries of several persons within a matter of hours. Illinois State Police and the Clark County authorities responded to these accident reports and conducted on-site help, cleanup and investigations.
