The Lubbock Police Department says two people suffered serious injuries in a crash involving two motorcycles and a pick-up truck. Two others received minor injuries in the Thursday night collision.
Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the injured people may seek advice from a Texas car accident lawyer.
The seriously injured motorcyclists are 29-year-old Tanner Houck and 27-year-old Tanner Grosse.
The accident happened at 93rd Street and University Avenue.
Investigators from the Department’s Major Crash Unit responded to the incident around 9:45 p.m.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the pickup truck was turning south on University Avenue from 93rd Street when the northbound bikes collided with it.
Forty-seven-year-old Billy Martin, the driver of the pickup, sustained injuries that were not deemed life-threatening. His unnamed passenger who is a minor also suffered slight injuries.
However, the two motorcyclists received more extensive injuries.
Grosse and Houck were taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
The Major Crash Unit is continuing its investigations. The authorities have not said whether any of the parties involved will face charges or citations.
If more details are released about this accident in Texas, additional information will be provided.
In accidents involving motorcycles, the person on the bike is usually more vulnerable. Even if they’re wearing a helmet, there is little else to protect them from the impact of the crash.
The injured individuals may be able to get compensation for medical bills and other losses if they hire a car accident lawyer.
