The Port Arthur Police Department has named the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday.

On Wednesday, officers said the victim was 22-year-old Alejandro Hernandez, a resident of Port Arthur.

According to accident reports, he lost control of his motorbike in the 2400 block of 25th Street.

The crash happened a little before 4 p.m.

Hernandez was taken to hospital by ambulance but he succumbed to his injuries.

The Advance Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident.

No information was immediately available about why Hernandez lost control of his motorcycle. It is not known whether he was wearing a helmet. No one else appears to have been injured in the accident.
