Single-Vehicle Crash in Chicago Kills Robbie Bell and Two Others

Three people died early Wednesday morning following a traffic wreck involving a single vehicle in Chicago, Illinois. The June 17 incident, which left two other victims injured, would require the timely intervention of a car accident lawyer.

The Illinois State Police recorded the crash shortly after 3 a.m., on West 87th Street, a few miles from Kedzie Avenue. The reports showed that only one vehicle was involved in the accident, and all five occupants of the wrecked car ended up severely harmed.

Investigators determined that the victims were travelling along the west traffic lanes of 87th Street at an undisclosed speed. For unknown reasons, the 24-year-old female who was behind the wheels of the car suddenly lost control. As a result, the vehicle drifted off the road and slammed into a tree. Four of the five commuters in the car got ejected as a result. Evidence gathered on the scene confirmed that none of the victims was using a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

First responders pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. An ambulance conveyed two of the passengers to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where they eventually died from their injuries. The Cook County Coroner’s office identified one of them as Robbie Bell, of Justice. Two others received transportation to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn. Hospital staff listed them in fair condition.

Officers did not immediately ascertain if impairment was a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
