The Quincy Police Department on Sunday, August 16th, identified the victims of a two-vehicle collision in Quincy, Illinois, on Friday evening, August 14th. Updates made to the accident report named Stephen Hendricks, 61, of Rushville, as the sole survivor of the five victims.

Jennifer Hendricks, 54, of Rushville, and minor, 4-year-old Archer Corrick, of Kirksville, Montana, died at the crash site. 6-year-old Dakota Corrick, and 18-month-old Ransom Corrick also from Kirksville, died at Blessing Hospital, and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, respectively.

Stephen received treatment for his wounds at Blessing Hospital. The man drove one of the vehicles involved in the collision, and Jennifer, Archer, Dakota, Ransom were his passengers. The police said that the crash happened at the intersection of 4th and Broadway Streets.

The investigators said that a woman identified as Natasha McBride began the chain of events that led to the occurrence. The preliminary investigation disclosed that the driver was westbound on Broadway at top speed at about 5 p.m. Friday.

McBride failed to stop at a stoplight at the intersection, and her vehicle struck that of Stephen. Afterward, the woman exited her car, failed to render help to the other vehicle’s occupants, and fled the scene on foot. The police found her at Bayview Bridge and took her into custody.

The motorist is facing charges of aggravated DUI, leaving the scene of an accident with fatalities, driving while license revoked, and reckless homicide. The QPD said that the suspect is receiving treatment of unspecified injuries at Blessing Hospital. Upon getting discharged, they will book her into the Adams County Jail.
