Napa Cyclist Sally Krautner, 67, Hit From Behind By Yountville Driver


The identities of the Napa cyclist and driver involved in an injury accident in Yountville on Wednesday, have been released.

67 year old Sally Krautner was hit from behind by a Lincoln Continental while bicycling on Silverado Trail. Authorities identified the driver as 77 year old William Wordsworth. Krautner was sent to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.

California Vehicle Code allows bicycles to be ridden in the roadway, and specifies a Three Feet For Safety margin when passing cyclists.
