$4000 Reward for Info on Cassandra Holmes Hit and Run

Cassandra Holmes, 58, struck by a hit and run driver on Wednesday, January 29, 2020. Her brother, community activist Andrew Holmes, and Sean Morrison, Cook County Commissioner are offering a $4000 reward for information.

Holmes was crossing the street about 9:20 a.m. in the 7400 block of South King Drive in the Park Manor neighborhood. That’s when a white Dodge Ram pick-up truck struck her and drove away.

The truck is a white 2002 four-door Ram 1500 with a black tailgate and quad cab. Witnesses saw the truck the same day around 5:15 p.m. around King and 79th Street.

Cassandra Holmes went to Jackson Park Hospital. She suffered two broken bones. Her brother reports that she is in a lot of pain. She will have surgery once the swelling in her knee reduces; otherwise, she is in good condition and expected to recover.

Andrew Holmes is in activist in Chicago. His daughter Tamara Sword and his older sister both died due to gun violence He works to help families of murder victims, and strengthening community relationships with police to help reduce and resolve homicides. He is also active in helping human trafficking victims.
