Chaz Tischhauser’s Life Ends in Genoa Traffic Accident

One person died early Friday morning, August 7th, after a traffic accident in the Genoa area of Illinois. Chaz Tischhauser, 35, passed away from injuries sustained when he struck his car against a utility pole.

According to the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred after midnight at the intersection of Melms Road and North State Road. Tischhauser’s car sped through a stop sign at the intersection, causing him to go airborne.

The car landed on the road again, and the victim lost control of it. The vehicle went off the roadway and struck the utility pole before rolling several times. The impact threw Tischhauser from the car, and he died at the scene.

The sheriff’s office said that the man was not wearing a seatbelt when he crashed. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and there’s no additional information at this time.

In California, it is an offense for a driver or a passenger to travel in a vehicle without wearing a seatbelt. The strap keeps the occupants of a car in place when an accident happens, prevents them from hitting their head against the steering wheel, and enables the airbag to deploy effectively.

It prevents adverse legal consequences from the lack of usage, reduces the risk of severe injuries and death, keeps the auto ticket rate from getting inflated, and prevents auto insurance from declining to cover damages. Offenders who violate the seatbelt rule would pay a fine and have it on their driver’s license record.
