A man suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol was in police custody on Sunday, May 17, following a two-vehicle crash involving an unoccupied car. The accident, which happened in the Boulder Hill area of Illinois, may require the intervention of a drunk driving attorney.
The KCSO deployed deputies to a location on Circle Drive West, at about 4:18 a.m., on reports of a traffic crash that left no one injured. Responding officers found a disabled car on the scene, with major damages. No one was present in the struck vehicle when the crash happened.
Investigations conducted at the site suggests the suspect struck an unoccupied vehicle, which was parked on the 99 block of Circle Drive. The man, identified as Isidro Medina, 29, of Old Post Road in Boulder Hill, then fled the scene of the wreck before law enforcement arrived.
Sheriff’s deputies were able to find the suspect on the same day. They determined he was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into the parked vehicle.
Police him on charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Give Information, and Damaging an Unattended Vehicle. They booked him into the Kendall County Jail, where he has since posted bond to be released.
Traffic officers advise motorists to desist from consuming alcohol, or any controlled substance before operating an auto vehicle. Failure to abide by this regulation attracts a penalty, made worse if the culprit encounters a traffic crash. Such motorists would need to seek legal counsel from a drunk driving attorney in due time.
